Nana Hughes Wheaten Bread

Traditional Irish Wheaten Bread
We made traditional Wheaten bread, following Mr Gribben's Nanas secret recipe.
Weigh  out self raising flour.
Put flour into a bowl.
Weigh out wholemeal flour.
Add wholemeal flour to the bowl.
Pour Buttermilk into a jug.
Put teaspoon of bicarb into the buttermilk.
Stir bicarb and buttermilk together.
Pour mixture into bowl.
Mix togther.
Knead well and shape loaf.
Cut a cross on top.
Place in hot oven for 40 minutes.
