Government Guidance has changed since I first informed you that the teachers would be preparing physical work packs to collect after Easter. In the interest of public health and protecting the NHS, it is no longer appropriate therefore to ask families to make journeys to school for this reason.
Therefore, all work and activities provided now by your child’s teacher(s) will be provided online. Each staff member is currently working on redesigning their class page which will be ready on Monday 20th April. We are also currently working on setting up ‘online remote learning’ which will allow staff to allocate both reading and curricular activities to the children. This takes time due to excessive demands on providers and the teachers need time to setup and provide accounts for each child in every class.
There will be weekly guidance outlining what activities the children can do. Depending upon the teachers not becoming ill themselves, this will be renewed for the following week. The pupils will be able to access their passwords on the school webpage. Where resources are available in PDF form we will make them accessible.
Please be assured we will continue to strive to support pupils and parents during these difficult and unprecedented times using the resources we have at our disposal.
