Hi everyone, I hope you are all staying safe. All students have been provided with the usernames and passwords to allow them to complete the online learning activities. I fully understand that home learning can be stressful and therefore I ask that the activities are completed in a manner that suit both yourself as parents, homeworkers and of course children.
I am also aware that devices may be shared within a home and a balance has to be struck, I've recently become aware that games machines (X-box & Playstation) have an internet browser built in to their system. This could be used to login to Seesaw and allow the children to view the worksheets on a TV screen rather than a phone.
Any worksheets should be written out and completed in the children's homework books, I will provide the answers the following day and comment on one piece of work for each child a day.
I will keep to the following routine:
Dear Parents and Carers,
In these unprecedented times, we know everyone is spending more time online at home, including our
children and young people. The Internet provides many benefits in keeping us all connected; however, for our children and young people especially, this can present more significant risks.
The online world can be a bit overwhelming at times, but it is important we understand what our children are doing online so we can help make them safer. The Department of Education Northern Ireland (DENI) Safer Schools App aims to help with this.
We are delighted to invite you download the DENI Safer Schools App, please open and follow the instructions in the document below:
