Power Down Day 2016

During the week of 22nd-26th of February 2016 our school participated in Power Down Day. The Eco Committee recorded the amount of electricity used during each school day. On Thursday 25th February the whole school saved energy by ensuring that lights and electrical equipment were not being used unnecessarily. Beforehand, the Eco Committee visited local shops to display their posters which advertised what our school was doing to save electricity. Our results showed that we reduced our consumption of energy use by on average 17% during Power Down Day.

Well done everyone!

We hope to extend this initiative to Power Down Month in April 2016.
