Seachtan na Gaeilge:
This week the children will be taking part in a range of different activities to celebrate the feast day of St. Patrick, patron Saint of Ireland and our school.
Luan 14u Marta: Monday 14th March
Th Book of Kells:
The children researched information on "The Book of Kells". They found lots of amazing information about the history of the book. The children took part in an art competition, creating their own celtic art.
Our lucky winner being presented with his prise.
Poc Fada:
The children read the Irish legend, "How Setanta became Cuchulainn". They then went outside with Miss French and Mr O Neill to take part in the Puc Fada or Long Puck. The children had to see who could hit the slither the furthest.
P4 Puc Fada:
The children had an absolutely brilliant time. The Camogie/Hurling training is really paying off. Just don't ask about Mr Gribbens footwear!
St Patrick's Day Cards:
The children created wonderful St.Patrick's day cards to celebrate the feast of our patron saint.
Mairt 15u Marta: Tuesday 15th March
Gaelic Games:
Coach Conan demonstrated a range of different gaelic skills to tie in with out celebration of everything Irish.
Counties of Ireland:
The children had a wonderful time learning about the counties in Ireland.
Ceadaoin 16u Marta: Wednesday 16th March
Ceili Mor:
Primary 4 had a wonderful time becoming emersed in traditional Irish music and dance.
Irish Language Quiz:
The children had the opportunity to show off the wonderful Irish language skills, they had learnt with Mrs Brown during their recent Irish classes.
