We are learning about pairs of numbers which can be added together to make 6. These are: 0 add 6 makes 6, 1 and 5 makes 6, 2 and 4 makes 6, 3 and 3 makes 6, 4 and 2 makes 6, 5 and 1 makes 6 and 6 and 0 makes 6. Watch the video 'Number Pairs for 6.' Literacy: Big Book 'The Pig in the Pond'
Draw a picture of your favourite part of the story. Write a few sentences to match your picture. Try to include some adjectives in your writing. Adjectives are describing words eg. The hot pig splashed in the water. Silly Neligan jumped in too.
Numeracy: Writing numbers to 20
Clap and count the numbers to 20 forwards and backwards. Complete worksheet 'Missing Numbers to 20 Apples.' Once finished ask your child to point out different numbers. To extend this ask, 'Find me the number one more than 13.' 'What number is 3 less than 17?'
