FRIDAY

Next week is our Mid-term week, so there will be no school work!! We can already hear you cheering!

However, there are a few important dates /events happening next week which we want to remind you about.

Sunday is 14th February - St. Valentine's Day. It is traditionally a day associated with love and hearts and this year FOSPA have cleverly combined these for you to create a wonderful window display.

They would like you to draw and cut out some hearts and to write on them some of the things that you are thankful for during these difficult times, and then display your creations in your house windows for all to see. We have put a template and some examples on Seesaw for you to look at.

Next Tuesday is Pancake Tuesday or Shrove Tuesday. Yum! Yum!

Below you can find some information on the origins of this special day, and there is also a recipe for pancakes if you would like to try making them (with an adult supervising, of course!) You might even be able to take photos of this and post them on Seesaw.

Finally, next Wednesday is Ash Wednesday. This is traditionally the first day of the Christian season of Lent. We have attached some information below for you to read about these important celebrations and where they came from. We are also posting a little activity for you on Seesaw today to help you think about what you might do this Lent.
So girls and boys, very well done to you and your parents on getting through all the work set for you this first half-term of 2021. You have worked extremely hard and now deserve a good rest!! Have fun, laugh, spoil yourselves, but above all - stay safe!wink
