Good work, P.6. I know it has been really hard to try and work online when the weather outside last week was so good. Just another few weeks to stick at it and then you get a well deserved break.
Mr Keenan was delighted to tell me that our school is now sitting 3rd in THE WORLD tables in our 10ticks mental maths. Congratulations to all of you who have worked hard to make this happen.
I would like you to try hard this week to get our average reading time back up to 20 mins. It has dropped recently to 14 mins average. (I blame the hot weather!!) Remember I can see who is reading and how long they spend reading (yes, even if it is only 25 secs!!) Always complete the quiz at the end of any book that has one so it can register you as having finished the book.
This week we are going to investigate Viking Ships. Below is a link to an information video and there is also a fact sheet. I have included an activity for each day this week. As always, just do what you can.

This week we are going to take a look at the Feast of Corpus Christi which will be celebrated on Sunday 14th June. Again there is an information sheet and a word search for you to complete.

Here's a chance to create your own longship. This template can be downloaded, cut out and glued to make your own ship. It may be a bit fiddly so don't be afraid to try creating your own longship using scrap materials! Cardboard tubes, empty bottles, cereal packets could all be used to 'build' your own boat. Or just design your own using markers or crayons. If possible take a photo of your creations. I would love to see them! Just have fun!
