We are delighted to have gained a place on the ‘Scoil Spreagtha’ accredited scheme 2024/25. ‘Scoil Spreagtha’ promotes, celebrates and encourages efforts made by English medium schools to use Irish in the school environment. The scheme is supported by Gael Linn, Ulster University, Foras na Gaeilge and Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin. With lots of Irish already in our school, we are really looking forward to further enhancing the linguistic proficiency of our pupils! #scoilspreagtha

We had the pleasure of hosting a special P7 assembly this morning with the grand parents, and important family members who have shaped the lives of our P7 pupils. A big well done to the boys and girls for a beautiful prayer service, thanks to Mr Mackin for his efforts in preparing the pupils and thanks also to Mrs Lawlor, Mrs Mackle, Mrs Haughian and Mrs Fraser for their help with preparing and serving the refreshments.

P5 Engineering Workshop

Many thanks to Hyster-Yale for delivering such an engaging workshop. Lots of little budding engineers, mathematicians and scientists inspired today

Science Sue
Fri 24 Jan 2025Another fun-filled day in Science week and what a day it was!! We hosted a full day of workshops from the renowned ‘Scientific Sue’ of Science2Life, who delivered her Dragon Science sessions to all our pupils. Huge thanks to Sue and her team, the shows were simply spectacular and had our boys and girls captivated, curious and inspired!

Netball Afterschool
Fri 24 Jan 2025We are delighted to be able to offer an after-school netball club to our Key Stage 2 girls, which started this week. The club is facilitated by coaches Niamh and Andrea, parents in our school community, who have very kindly volunteered their time to share their skills with the girls. We have no doubt that our girls are fit for the challenge and it won’t be long before we’re ready for a match!!!

Science Week 2025

Today saw the end to our amazing Science Week and what an incredible week it was.
We saw so many amazing experiments and shared a wealth of scientific knowledge with each other. The children thoroughly enjoyed their week and put in an enormous amount of effort both in school and at home.
Thank you to our science coordinator, Mrs Awada for all the fun-filled tasks and science work shops!
